A class held to guide people to exercise to relax their muscles in Japan. The Japanese health festival will introduce the nation’s medical equipment and services.

Around 60 businesses, which include those that have already invested in Viet Nam and those seeking investment opportunities in the healthcare sector, will showcase health-related products and services such as biomedical equipment, water purifiers, functional food, wheelchairs, blood pressure measuring devices, cosmetics, health check-ups and treatments.

The event, organised by the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO), also includes a special forum that will discuss the secret of good health and high life expectancy among the Japanese. Japan has been known as one of the highest life expectancy in the world.

Hironobu Kitagawa, head representative of JETRO Hanoi, said Japanese businesses are looking towards Asian markets, including Viet Nam.

Last week, a delegation of Japanese businesses visited HCM City for information on investment opportunities.

“Japan is among the countries that top the life expectancy chart. We want to introduce Japanese products and services that will help people in other countries deal with health problems and maintain good health like Japanese people,” Kitagawa said.

In 2014, JETRO had held this event in three big cities in the region - Yangon in Myanmar, HCM City in Viet Nam and Bangkok in Thailand.
