A Japanese visitor died after falling from a boat in Tuan Chau Wharf.

At around 3 pm on Sunday, after visiting Ha Long Bay, a cruise which transported 11 Japanese tourists and a tour guide arrived at Tuan Chau Wharf. Mitsuyasu Masahiro, 65, from Japan was trying to get ashore when he fell into the water.
Surrounding people immediately jumped to save him and took him to the nearby Bai Chay General Hospital for the first aid, but he had died on the way there.
Doctor Giang Quoc Huy, director of the hospital, said that the official cause of his death is still under investigation.
According to some witnesses, Mitsuyasu Masahiro fell when talking to other people who were on the same cruise with him.
The victim family has been informed of the case.
