Lee Keun-ho (centre) is one of players of the K-League All Stars to come to Vietnam in late July.

They will play the national U22 squad on July 29 at the My Dinh Stadium in Hanoi.

In the list, there are three strikers, six midfielders, seven defenders and two goalkeepers.

Among them, Lee Keun-ho is the most successful player, as he was the Asian Best Player of the Year in 2012.

Lee, who is now a member of the Gangwon FC, has grabbed a number of individual titles during his career. The 32-year-old striker capped the national jersey 77 times. He won the AFC Champions League trophy with Ulsan Hyundai FC in 2012 and was the best player of the tournament.

This year in K-League Classic, Lee has scored five goals and leads the scoring table of the club.

Forward Yang Dong-hyun of Pohang Steelers is also on the list. He is one of the league’s top scorers with 11 goals after 15 matches.

Coach Hwang of the team is the head coach of FC Seoul who won K-League Classic title last year.

The Republic of Korean team has gathered the best players who are playing in the domestic tournament. They are local members and foreigners, who are at their peak, according to Han Oung-soo, K.League general secretary.

They have been selected through a poll voted by local fans.

On the host’s side, players will be summoned on July 3.

The friendly is one of activities scheduled for the Vietnam players to practise for the Southeast Asian Games in August.
