Kaspersky Lab and its distributor Nam Truong Son Group on December 20 introduced their latest products to protect customers against online threats.
The 2018 Kaspersky Internet Security and Kaspersky Total Security products have new features such as wifi security notifications and secure connections (for Mac), protections against infection during forced system restarts (for PC) and app locks (for Android).
They also feature new enhancements, including a URL advisor, system watcher, trusted application mode, support for safe money scenarios in Microsoft Edge, and support for the latest operating systems.
The number of connected devices is increasing in households, with many devices connected to the internet for shopping and sharing videos. The increase in connections, however, is also accompanied by concerns about online safety.
According to the Kaspersky Security Network, 39 per cent of users are at threat of online attacks like hacks, malware, phishing and others.
Kaspersky Lab in its yearly research discovered that 63 per cent of internet users were worried about fake email and websites.
To help users feel more secure, the products’ URL advisor feature will enable internet users to find a link in the search engine that will identify suspicious or phishing sites or sites that could harm users’ computers.
The new products also include features that help prevent complicated ransomware and prevent children from accessing improper applications and websites.
The latest editions of Kaspersky Internet Security and Kaspersky Total Security are available for update starting on December 20. Commercial products will be available in the market from January 15. — VNS
