Kazakhstan triumphed at the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Women’s Beach Volleyball Tournament which wrapped up in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho on April 23.

The Central Asian team won the championship title after a seismic 2-0 victory over Indonesia in the final match.
The winner flew home with a bonus of 2,600 USD while the runner-up received 2,000 USD.
Earlier, in the third-place playoff match, Japan crushed Thailand 2-0 to take the third place with 1,600 USD in award.
The four-day tournament attracted the participation of 36 players from 18 teams of ten countries and territories. Among them, the host country of Vietnam has three teams, Australia, Hong Kong (China), Indonesia, Japan, New Zealand and Thailand have two teams each, while Kazakhstan, Singapore and Malaysia sent one team each.
This is the third time the AVC Women’s Beach Volleyball Tournament has been held in Can Tho city. It is part of a point-scoring system for the players.-VNA
