The project is hoped to excite pupils in practising listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, contributing to improving the quality of English teaching and learning under the National Foreign Language Plan to 2020.

Students in primary schools in Cam Ranh and Nha Trang cities, and Dien Khanh and Ninh Hoa districts will benefit from the project.

They will be taught how to work in group and play games using English language. Listening to English songs will help them practise listening and speaking skills.

The project will also offer a good chance for Vietnam’s English teachers in targeted schools to access modern teaching methods and learn from experience of their foreign colleagues, thus improving their capacity.

Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Education and Training Hoang Thi Ly said foreign teachers joining the project will be managed by authorised agencies and the training programme will be verified by her agency.
