On the afternoon of November 19, the Provincial Party Committee of Khanh Hoa held a conference to announce the Politburo’s decision regarding personnel appointments.

During the session, a representative from the Party Central Committee’s Organization Commission read the Politburo’s directive on transferring and appointing Tran Phong to the provincial Party Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, and the role of deputy party secretary of Khanh Hoa for the 2025–2030 term.

Following this appointment, Tran Phong was nominated and elected as chairman of the Khanh Hoa People’s Committee for the 2021–2026 term.

Tran Phong was born in 1974 in Quang Trach Commune, Quang Tri Province. He holds a master’s degree in economics and has completed advanced political theory training.

Deputy Chief of the Inspection Commission of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee
Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Quang Binh
Vice Chairman of the Quang Binh Provincial People’s Committee
Party Secretary of Dong Hoi City (Quang Binh)
Chairman of the Quang Binh People’s Committee for the 2021–2026 term
Chairman of the Quang Tri People’s Committee (most recent post before moving to Khanh Hoa)
