Earlier that same afternoon, the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the Politburo’s decision to reassign and appoint Ut to the Provincial Party Committee, its Standing Committee, and the position of Deputy Secretary for the 2025–2030 term.

Speaking at the conference, Nguyen Van Ut expressed his deep gratitude for the trust placed in him by the Politburo and Secretariat. He pledged to closely collaborate with the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Committee, and local departments to implement the Party’s resolutions.

He also committed to an open-minded and consultative leadership style, vowing to listen to the opinions of local leaders, businesses, and citizens to help Dong Nai become a dynamic growth engine for the Southeast region.

Nguyen Van Ut, 56, hails from Tay Ninh Province. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in the same field.

He previously held several leadership roles, including Vice Chairman and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Duc Hoa District, Party Secretary of Duc Hoa District, and both Vice Chairman and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Long An Province.

After the merger of Tay Ninh and Long An Provinces, Ut was appointed Chairman of the newly restructured Tay Ninh Province. He served in that role until being reassigned to Dong Nai.
