Leaders of countries and international organizations continue to send messages of condolence for the passing of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to the Party Central Committee, President To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man, the people of Vietnam, and the family of the General Secretary.

The Sultan of Brunei Darussalam, Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, expressed that he always holds dear the image of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong as a warm, steadfast friend and the beautiful memories from their exchanges, especially the meeting during the upgrade of the two countries' relationship to a Comprehensive Partnership during the Sultan's visit to Vietnam in 2019.

The Sultan affirmed that the significant contributions of the late General Secretary in strengthening bilateral relations and his persistent and strong dedication to Vietnam's socio-economic development are a lasting legacy.

President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Prime Minister Lawrence Wong of Singapore expressed admiration for the important contributions made over decades for the Party and the nation, particularly during his 13 years as General Secretary, which contributed significantly to Vietnam's strong economic growth and improved people's lives.

The Singaporean leaders praised the General Secretary for prioritizing party-building work and his dedication to anti-corruption efforts, which not only shaped his leadership style but also provided important direction for reforms and strengthening the Party and State of Vietnam.

The General Secretary was a close friend of Singapore and made many important contributions, laying the groundwork for the establishment of the Strategic Partnership between the two countries in 2013, and advancing bilateral relations towards upgrading to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in the near future.

In his message, King Maha Vajiralongkorn of Thailand praised the General Secretary for earning the full trust of the Vietnamese people and international respect for his role in building, reforming, developing, and stabilizing the country.

The letter from Luvsannamsrain Oyun-Erdene, Prime Minister and Chairman of the ruling Mongolian People's Party, noted: "The Mongolian People's Party always remembers the contributions and dedication of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong in developing relations, strengthening the friendship and comradeship between the people of Vietnam and Mongolia and between the two Parties."

In his message, King Charles III of England expressed hope that the Vietnamese people would remain strong and resilient in these difficult times.

The King recalled his impressions and memories with General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong during his visit to England in 2013, expressing respect for the General Secretary's contributions to the Vietnamese people and his role in promoting Vietnam's close relations with other countries through the "bamboo diplomacy" approach.

Nicolas Maduro, President of Venezuela and Chairman of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, affirmed that General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong was a great friend of Venezuela, a tireless fighter for his nation, and a torch of intellect for Vietnam's great changes.

President Maduro expressed solidarity with the Vietnamese people and affirmed that the people of both countries would always be united, cooperative, and brotherly.

Diosdado Cabello, Vice President of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, sent a condolence message to the Party Central Committee and the Vietnamese people.

King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia and Crown Prince, Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia sent condolences to President To Lam.

President Aleksandr Lukashenko of Belarus sent condolences to President To Lam. Chairman of the House of Representatives of Belarus Igor Sergeenko sent a message of condolence to the leaders of the National Assembly and the Vietnamese people.

Oleg Romanov, Chairman of the Belarusian "White Russia" Party, sent a condolence letter to the Party Central Committee and the family of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Chairman of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, sent a condolence letter to National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.
