On May 18, the Museum of Hue Royal Antiquities opened the exhibition of antiques donated by collector or the royal descendants to celebrate the International Museum Day.

Among the exhibits are 42 items donated by Mrs. Monie Phuong, Thanh Thai King’s granddaughter, who is living in Cambodia.

Mr. Phan Thanh Hai, Director of the Center for Conservation of Hue Relics, said Mrs. Monie Phuong is now a member of the Cambodian royal family. She has had much support for preserving royal tombs and temples of the Nguyen dynasty in Hue city.

In 2013, she donated to the Museum of Hue Antiquities five royal documents and 228 ceramic artifacts dating from the 16th to 20th centuries, including valuable artifacts.

"The exhibition is part of the plan on exhibiting furniture and interior decoration of royal architecture in Hue City. The contribution of royal antiques of the royal descendants, including Mrs. Monie Phuong is extremely valuable," Hai said.
