The PBA Tour, known for its global reach, has been planning this event in Vietnam for two years. Lee Hee Jin, Vice President of PBA and CEO of FMG, highlighted Vietnam's growing prominence in the sport, stating, “Vietnam ranks second globally in 3-cushion carom after Korea. More importantly, the market here is continuously developing. Additionally, Vietnam is recognized as an emerging powerhouse in 3-cushion carom, with world-class cueists. This is why we chose Vietnam as the starting point for the global tour.”

The LBA LPBA SY Bazzar Hanoi Open 2024 is being conducted to international standards, with matches broadcast live on four Korean sports channels and VTVCab.

Among the star participants is the "Billiards Angel of Korea," Lee Mi-rae. Having previously competed in Vietnam, Lee Mi-rae shared her enthusiasm, saying, “I bought a purple Ao Dai during my last competition in Ho Chi Minh City, and I love it. This time in Hanoi, I hope my fans still hold a special place in their hearts for me.” Lee Mi-rae also has her eyes set on the champion's prize of 750 million VND.

Looking ahead, the PBA has plans to organize three tours in Vietnam, with events scheduled in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang, including a team competition.
