The General Department of Land Management under the Ministry of National Resources and Environment has decided to launch an inspection into land management and usage in five provinces and cities in 2018, Youth newspaper reports.

Tân Tạo Industrial Zone in Bình Chánh District, HCM City. In 2018, industrial zones and clusters and economic zones in five cities and provinces will be inspected on land management and usage. 



They include northern Thái Nguyên Province, southern Đồng Nai Province, HCM City, Cần Thơ City and central Bình Định Province.

A leader of the department said the inspection would focus on land management and usage in industrial zones/clusters and economic zones.

Entities subject to inspection in Thái Nguyên Province include Yên Bình Industrial Zone, Sông Công I Industrial Zone, and Trúc Mai Industrial Cluster.

In Đồng Nai Province, the inspection will be conducted at Biên Hoà 2 Industrial Zone, Bàu Xéo Industrial Zone, and Tân An Construction Materials Industrial Zone.

Six industrial zones, including Trà Nóc II, Hưng Phú I and Thốt Nốt in Cần Thơ City and Đông Nam, Tân Tạo (Expansion), Lê Minh Xuân in HCM City will be examined.

In Bình Định, 12 companies at Phú An Industrial Zone will also be subject to inspection.

The inspection plan is part of a bigger project approved by Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc in August last year to inspect land management and usage in 30 cities and provinces across the country in the 2016-20 period.

The project aims to intensify State control of land management and usage, as well as to discover and handle violations, which have made the issue one of the hottest topics in Việt Nam in recent years. — VNS
