The HCM City Department of Industry and Trade has informed supermarkets, shopping centers, convenience stores in the city, and e-commerce platforms, of a large-scale sale promotion campaign, slated for November 15 – December 31. They were asked to tss as he sort in the program.

Earlier, Japanese retailer Aeon launched a sale promotion program on November 1-15, under which goods are being discounted from 10 to 30 percent. There are ‘buy 2 pay for 1’ offers and many deals with the price of VND111,000, applied to household products, appliances, bikes and accessories, and food.

WinMart/WinMart+ is running a sale promotion program, offering discounts of up to 50 percent for hundreds of products. The ‘buy 2, get 1 free’ principle is applied to fresh food, imported fruits, drinks, cosmetics and household products.

MM Mega Market offers customers in HCM City, Da Nang and Hanoi more than 1,500 OCOP (one commune, one product) products with high quality and reasonable prices. The program not only helps localities and farmers advertise their products to consumers throughout the country, but also helps reach regional markets through the Thai-owned distribution network.

Le Huynh Minh Tu, deputy director of the HCMC Department of Industry and Trade, said that this agency has joined Mega Market Vietnam, Saigon Co-op and Satra to connect involved parties for production and consumption.

Farm produce of HCM City and other cities and provinces has been introduced through the supermarket chain of the three retailers across the country. They are prioritizing displaying and introducing OCOP to consumers in advantageous positions at supermarkets.

As Lunar New Year will come in late January instead of February as in previous years, Vietnamese businesses have begun storing goods to prepare for the year-end sales season. HCM City has prepared tens of thousands of goods, including 5,253 tons of food, 2.031 tons of sugar, 2,356 tons of vegetable oil, 5,603 tons of cattle meat, 8.481 tons of poultry meat, and 1,485 tons of processed food.
