On March 30, the 11th People’s Council of Tay Ninh convened its first session for the new tenure.
During the session, delegates voted to elect the chairman of the People’s Council and the chairman of the People’s Committee for the 2026-2031 term.
Nguyen Manh Hung, deputy secretary of the provincial Party Committee and chairman of the People’s Council for the 2021-2026 term, was re-elected to the same position for the 2026-2031 term. Three vice chairpersons of the council were also elected, including Nguyen Dai Thy, Dang Thi Ngoc Mai, and Nguyen Hong Son.
Delegates also voted to reappoint Le Van Han, deputy secretary of the provincial Party Committee and chairman of the People’s Committee for the 2021-2026 term, as chairman for the 2026-2031 term.
In addition, Nguyen Hong Thanh, Nguyen Minh Lam, Doan Trung Kien, Huynh Van Son, and Pham Tan Hoa were elected as vice chairmen of the provincial People’s Committee.
Le Van Han was born in 1970 in Vinh Long province. He holds a bachelor’s degree in literature education, a bachelor’s degree in administrative studies, and a master’s degree in education management.
Before working in Tay Ninh, he held various positions in the former Tra Vinh province, including serving as chairman of the provincial People’s Committee.
On June 30, 2025, he was appointed by the Politburo as deputy secretary of the Vinh Long provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term and was also designated chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long province.
On October 3, 2025, he was appointed to the Executive Committee and Standing Board of the Vinh Long provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term, continuing as deputy secretary of the provincial Party Committee.
On November 18, 2025, he was assigned by the Politburo to join the Tay Ninh provincial Party Committee and serve as deputy secretary for the 2025-2030 term. He was subsequently elected by the provincial People’s Council as chairman of the People’s Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
