On the afternoon of September 2, as part of the activities marking the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day, General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith and Chairman of the Cambodian People’s Party Hun Sen visited the national exhibition "80 Years of the Journey for Independence - Freedom - Happiness" at the Vietnam Exhibition Center in Dong Anh, Hanoi. Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh hosted the welcoming ceremony and personally led the delegation on a tour of the exhibition.

After the welcome ceremony and commemorative photo session at VinPalace's reception hall, the senior leaders explored several highlight exhibition zones, including the "Lotus Gate" landscape symbolizing the journey of independence, the Vietnamese People's Army exhibition at Nam Yard, the "Party flag guiding the way" zone, and a special display curated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Of particular interest was the "Aspiration for the sky - For a green future" zone at the West Hall, where the delegation had a direct interaction with a humanoid robot developed by VinMotion Corporation. The robot performed greetings, waved, and responded to gestures, creating an engaging moment of interaction between humans and artificial intelligence.

This is the first prototype developed entirely by Vietnamese engineers, produced within just over three months after the establishment of VinMotion in January 2025. The robot is slated for initial deployment in VinFast factories, with plans to expand into logistics, healthcare, education, and in-home care in later phases.

Following the exhibition tour, the high-level delegation departed for Noi Bai International Airport aboard a special fleet of Lac Hong 900 LX vehicles produced by VinFast. This model has recently been adopted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to serve international delegations during major national celebrations.

The national achievement exhibition features an average of 100 events and experiential activities daily. Highlights attracting massive public attention include high-altitude fireworks (on August 28, September 2, and September 5), robot performances, culinary showcases, hot air balloons, artistic kites, live demonstrations by traditional artisans, and cultural performances coordinated by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism along with 34 provinces and cities. Additional features include themed seminars, interactive programs, and gift giveaways from more than 200 exhibition booths.

Despite a sudden spike in visitor numbers, the event’s organization was praised for being efficient, orderly, and safe. The Vietnam Exhibition Center (VEC) deployed 20 connecting bus routes and two internal electric shuttle routes free of charge. There were 925 indoor and outdoor restrooms, including accessible facilities for people with disabilities, 12 information counters, free digital maps via Digimap, and complimentary experience handbooks.
