According to the Vietnam Exhibition Center (VEC), more than 1.18 million visitors attended the "Achievements of the Nation" exhibition within its first three days of opening (August 28-30). Themed "80 years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness," the event set a new attendance record for exhibitions in Vietnam.

Specifically, the opening day (August 28) welcomed over 230,000 guests. On the second day (August 29), the figure rose to nearly 300,000. The third day (August 30) saw an explosive turnout, with over 650,000 visitors.
The exhibition features an average of 100 events and hands-on activities each day. Highlights that drew massive public interest include high-altitude fireworks displays (held on August 28, September 2, and September 5), robot demonstrations, culinary showcases, hot air balloons, artistic kite performances, traditional handicraft displays by artisans, and cultural shows organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with 34 provinces and cities. Additionally, over 200 booths offer thematic workshops, interactive sessions, and free gifts.
Despite the unprecedented influx of attendees, the organization of the event has been praised for being smooth, civilized, and safe. VEC arranged 20 connecting bus routes and 2 complimentary on-site electric shuttle lines. A total of 925 restrooms - both indoor and outdoor, including accessible facilities for people with disabilities - were installed. There were 12 information counters along with free distribution of Digimap digital maps and event guidebooks.
The dining area boasted more than 120 food kiosks, indoors and outdoors, offering a wide variety of options. Rest zones and shaded areas were thoughtfully arranged. Performances started on time, with no crowding or disorder. Medical and security services were carefully deployed to ensure public safety.
A key factor contributing to the success of the exhibition was the involvement of nearly 2,000 volunteers, who collaborated with the VEC coordination team. Their efforts not only supported operations but also helped spread the spirit of unity and collective contribution to this nationally significant event.
With a record-breaking number of visitors and professional event management, the "Achievements of the Nation - 80 Years of Independence, Freedom, and Happiness" exhibition has left a lasting impression on the public. It also affirmed the Vietnam Exhibition Center’s capacity to host large-scale national and international events in the future.
