The Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers hosted a Christmas tree lighting ceremony and shared joyful moments of the festive season with around 100 poor kids from Thu Duc Youth Village who had been invited to attend a private Christmas charity event at the hotel.

The event is part of the hotel’s activities to show its commitment to corporate social responsibility and join hands with society to bring smiles for underprivileged students during the festive season.

This year, the hotel is decorated in the festive theme of gold and silver colors with a huge Christmas tree and a life-sized gingerbread house in the hotel lobby.

Meanwhile, the Sofitel Saigon Plaza Hotel illuminated its Christmas tree to start the holiday season on December 1 and presented nice gifts to pupils and invited guests.

Inspired by the theme of Christmas melody, this year’s Christmas tree of the Sofitel Saigon Plaza is surrounded with famous music instruments of Asian countries such as harp, monochord zither, pear-shaped four-stringed fretted lute and the modern ones such as guitar, violin and piano to bring music closer to the public.

Moreover, the five-star Le Méridien Saigon kicked off the Christmas festive atmosphere with a Christmas tree lighting ceremony on December 8 and gave a helping hand to underprivileged children at non-governmental organizations (NGO).

Visitors to the ceremony were required to share the name of one city they had travelled to on the hotel’s Festive Wall, and if that city has an operating Le Méridien hotel, the hotel would donate VND100,000 to needy kids at NGOs to bring joy and happiness to less fortunate kids around the world.

In addition, other leading hotels in the city such as the Caravelle Saigon Hotel, the Windsor Plaza Hotel and the Lotte Legend Hotel Saigon also organized a ceremony to lit up their Christmas trees and celebrate the upcoming festive season.
