International bathymetric agencies recognise that lighthouses on Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago have been established and are maintained. They shine all around to support ships in the region, as well as to affirm the nation’s sovereignty over the archipelago.

Song Tu Tay lighthouse on the island of the same name has a range of 22 nautical miles during the day and 21 nautical miles at night.

The Song Tu Tay lighthouse was built in 1993, with a height of around 36 metres. Its light is white and flashes every 15 seconds.

The Sinh Ton Island lighthouse, put into operation in 2012, is 25 metres tall so that ships and boats can see its light within a radius of 15 nautical milesduring the day and 20 nautical miles at night.

The yellow lighthouse on Truong Sa Lon Island has a height of 14 metres.

The lighthouse was built in 2009 and has a range of more than 14 nautical miles during the day and more than 18 nautical miles at night.
