In Vietnam, many programs and activities are launched on this occasion to raise awareness of the entire society on the meaning and importance of domestic violence prevention and control, thereby contributing to the fight against domestic violence in society.
With messages such as: Responding to the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on November 25, 2023; Gender equality is key to ending violence against women and children; Let’s report acts of violence and sexual abuse of women and children; Silence is not the way to protect yourself and victims of violence and abuse; Sexual abuse of women and children is a serious crime; The law strictly punishes all acts of violence, abuse, and sexual harassment against women and children; Speak up when experiencing violence. Everyone will help you!; Build families into safe places for everyone.
Propaganda on gender equality and prevention and control of violence against women and girls is promoted on the media such as newspapers of all types, radio and television stations of districts, loudspeakers in communes, wards, towns and residential areas.
Other forms of propaganda also include visual propaganda through posters, hoardings, and slogan banners on roads, schools, and public places; on the electronic information boards and community bulletin board; social networking platforms like Zalo and Facebook; integrating media content on domestic violence prevention and control, preventing and combating violence and abuse against children and gender equality in meetings, conferences, and club activities.
