Scene of the accident

The incident occurred at around 2pm at the lime kiln of Nguyen Van Van in Phu Thu town, Kinh Mon District. While the kiln was under repair, it suddenly toppled, trapping the five workers.

Residents and authorities worked together on trying to save people, but after two hours of searches, they were only able to recover the bodies, including son of the kiln owner.

Earlier in November, 2015, a similar accident occurred in Haiphong City's Thuy Nguyen District, killing three people who were standing nearby.
