Chris Wilson, an Irish singer and songwriter, will present his music, which has been influenced by the music of Bob Dylan, John Martyn and Nick Drake, while still keeping a contemporary Irish backbone, at the Hanoi Social Club on Saturday.

After giving up music in his late teens to work as a cook in Dublin’s fine dining restaurants, Wilson decided it was time to pick up the guitar again.

“I got my guitar and a ticket to Australia and never looked back,” he said.

Wilson has been travelling as a musician for five years, playing music in 15 countries of different continents.

His music has been influenced by the music of Bob Dylan, John Martyn and Nick Drake, but it maintains a contemporary Irish backbone.

He sings about love, stories about friends, and ideas formed from life on the road.

His performance will start from 8pm.

Ticket costs VNĐ100,000 at door. Hanoi Social Club is at 6 Hoi Vu Street.
