The hardworking midfielder plays for V.League 1 side Song Lam Nghe An and scored three goals in the qualifiers, including a brace against Hong Kong (China), it noted.
The AFC also mentioned other players to watch at the U20 Asian Cup finals, including Hozan Rawan Osman of Syria, Abdulfatohi Khudoidodzoda of Tajikistan, Shakhzodbek Rakhmatullaev of Uzbekistan, Gabriel Popovic of Australia, Aifeierding Aisikaer of China, and Hokky Caraka Brilliant of Indonesia.
The 2023 AFC U20 Asian Cup in Uzbekistan looks set to be a highly competitive affair as the tournament, previously known as the AFC U19 Championship, makes a return after five years.
After the breathtaking action seen in the qualifiers, the tournament promises to be thrilling as Asia’s future generation of stars look to make a mark on the continental stage. All of the continent’s young stars are expected to shine in the finals held from March 1 to March 18, according to the AFC.
Vietnam were one of the five second-placed teams with the best results during the qualifying stage.
Drawn in Group B Vietnam will play Australia, Qatar, and Iran in the tournament’s finals on March 1, March 4, and March 7, respectively.
