VietNamNet Bridge – According to Reuters, Lotte is no longer interested in the acquisition of Big C Vietnam. Reportedly the deal may value about $1 billion.

The spokesman for Lotte Group refused to comment on the information. Meanwhile, there is no information from the Casino Group - which owns Big C Vietnam.
It is reported that last month Casino Group received more than 10 offers to repurchase Big C Vietnam from big names such as Japan's Aeon Group, South Korea's Lotte Group, Thailand’s Central Group and TCC Holding belonging to Thai billionaire Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi.
The last auction of Big C Vietnam will take place this week.
Big C assets in Vietnam were reportedy estimated at over US$1 billion.
Casino is offering its assets in Asia and Latin America to reduce debts and focus on business operations in France. It sold Big C Thailand to TCC Holding at 3.1 billion euros last month. It said in January that it looks to mobilize four billion euros via selling operations in Colombia, Thailand and Vietnam.
