On the evening of October 15, the police in Binh Chanh District reported that they are investigating the cause of the large explosion at a agarwood production facility located in Vinh Loc A Commune.

Around 3pm that day, residents heard a loud bang from the agarwood production facility in Hamlet 7, Vinh Loc A Commune. The explosion caused the entire area to tremble, prompting many people to flee in panic, creating a scene of chaos.

At the scene, the walls of the agarwood production facility collapsed, with bricks and debris scattered everywhere.

The explosion also affected many adjacent houses, leading to wall collapses, damaged ceilings, and broken windows. Some personal belongings, including motorbikes, electric bicycles, and household items, were also damaged.

After the incident, local authorities cordoned off the area and began investigating the cause. Initial assessments indicated that the explosion resulted in injuries to a 10-year-old girl living nearby. The victim was taken to Binh Tan District Hospital for examination.
