A ticket holder in Vietnam matched the numbers 05-21-31-33-38-42 in a draw on October 16. This is the largest prize after 39 draws since Mega 6/45 made its debut in July.

Vietlott said the winning ticket holder can claim the prize either at the VietinBank building on Ham Nghi Boulevard in HCMC or the company’s branch in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho at 62 Ly Tu Trong Street, Ninh Kieu District within 60 days. The jackpot winner has remained anonymous.

Under the prevailing rules, the jackpot winner is required to pay tax for the prize.

The winner has been identified: a 32-year-old woman named Nguyen Thi Anh Dao in the southern province of Tra Vinh.

Dao said she planned to present 400 gifts to poor households and to donate some money to charity organisations such as the Red Cross Society to support needy families.

Vietlott signed an exclusive 18-year contract with Malaysian conglomerate Berjaya to launch computerized lottery games in January. In Mega 6/45, gamers select six numbers from 1 to 45 and win the jackpot, starting at VND12 billion, by matching six winning numbers from a draw.

Each ticket costs VND10,000.
