Top tennis player Ly Hoang Nam has moved up five spots to No. 629 in the men’s singles rankings in the latest Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) world rankings.
This is attributed to his impressive performance at Vietnam Men’s Futures F7 tennis tournament at which Nam advanced to the quarter-finals after trouncing Japanese Ken Oshini 6-1, 6-3 in a 70-minute match.
He now has 45 points in the men’s singles rankings in ATP world rankings.
In the doubles rankings, Nam dropped down 7 places to No. 714.
Currently, the top tennis player is competing at the Vietnam F9 Futures – Becamex IDC Cup 2016, which is the last of a series of nine Men’s Futures events held in Vietnam.
Ly Hoang Nam and partner Ti Chen (Taiwan) on October 31 won the first round match of the Vietnam Men’s Futures F9 tennis tournament in Binh Duong Province.
They next will face off with Vietnamese wildcard pair Le Cong Tien and Trinh Linh Giang who on October 31 defeated Chinese Gong Xiao and Li Zhao-tai 6-3, 6-3.
