Top Vietnamese tennis player Ly Hoang Nam is set to compete in the Vietnam Tennis Federation (VTF) Pro Tour 2, being held in Tay Ninh province from April 16-24.
The tournament will serve as a warm-up for Nam as he makes preparations for upcoming professional tennis events of Men’s Futures in Thua Thien-Hue province.
He is trying his utmost to achieve his target of establishing himself among the world’s top 300. Nam currently ranks 458th in the world rankings.
The VTF Pro Tour 2 has attracted the participation of 119 tennis players from 10 teams such as Becamex Binh Duong, Kien Giang, Hanoi, Military, Hung Thinh – Ho Chi Mih City, Danang, Hai Duong, Tay Ninh, The Public Security, and Quang Phuoc Tay Do Club - Can Tho.
They will compete across four categories: men’s and women’s singles and doubles.
The winner of the men’s singles will take home VND40 million (US$1,800), while the winner of the women’s singles will get VND30 million (US$1,300).
The men’s doubles champions will win VND10 million (US$450), and the female champions will receive VND8 million (US$360).
