More than 100 Chinese dealers have been permitted to enter and purchase lychees in Luc Ngan district of Bac Giang province which is noted for lychee growing in Vietnam.
In mid-June, during the peak of the fourth Covid-19 wave, up to 100,000 tons of lychee sourced from Bac Giang Province, Vietnam’s largest pandemic center, were sold.
Thieu lychee, a specialty of Bac Giang province, is expected to soon be readily-found in one of the most choosy markets in the world - Japan - marking a major step in Vietnamese agricultural products reaching out to the globe.
Khang Quoc Tuan, the director of tourism in Hai Duong Province once told us that “ Hai Duong has not much, but we have our hearts with which to welcome all of you”.
During the litchi season, the roads to the litchi market in Luc Ngan district, Bac Giang province are congested every morning because of hundreds of trucks and motorcycles flocking to the market. Some pictures of the largest litchi market in Vietnam.
