Mai Trieu Nguyen, the founder of the well-known Mai Nguyen mobile retail chain, has passed away in Australia after succumbing to injuries from a motorcycle accident. The tragic incident occurred on March 5 on the Westgate Highway in Victoria.

According to a statement released by Victoria Police at 11:41 a.m. on March 20 (local time), Mr. Nguyen, aged 48 and originally from Vietnam, was seriously injured in the crash and was immediately transported to Royal Melbourne Hospital. Despite receiving intensive treatment for several days, he did not survive.

The news of his passing was confirmed by the CBC (BMW Adventure and Camping Community), where Mr. Nguyen was an active member. The group expressed deep sorrow and shared that his family is currently completing procedures to repatriate his body to Vietnam.

Mai Trieu Nguyen was a prominent figure in the Vietnamese tech and retail industry, known for his passion for technology and love for motorcycles. Starting his entrepreneurial journey in 2002 by providing mobile software installation, ringtones, and wallpapers for Nokia phones, he quickly built Mai Nguyen into a reputable name in Ho Chi Minh City's tech scene.

During 2008-2009, he established Mai Nguyen Luxury, specializing in high-end phones like Vertu and Mobiado, catering to affluent customers. As smartphones gained popularity, he expanded his product line to include devices from Apple, HTC, Samsung, and Sony, along with audio brands such as JBL, Harman/Kardon, Bose, and Bang & Olufsen.

In addition to his passion for technology, Mr. Nguyen was a motorcycle enthusiast and adventure traveler. In celebration of Mai Nguyen's 20th anniversary, he founded Mai Nguyen Rider Store, offering products for motorcycle riders and outdoor enthusiasts.

He was also active on social media, frequently sharing his experiences with gadgets and his adventurous journeys on YouTube and Facebook, where he garnered a devoted following.
