Malaysia’s delegation includes 51 members, with the squad featuring a notable number of players of mixed heritage. Among them are familiar names such as Dominic Tan, Daniel Ting, Quentin Cheng, Endrick, Ryan Lambert, Nooa Laine, Ezequiel Aguero and Paulo Josue.
The lineup also includes several overseas-based players, notably defender Dion Cools, who plays for Cerezo Osaka in Japan, Daniel Ting of Ratchaburi in Thailand, and midfielder Endrick, currently playing in Vietnam’s V-League for Cong An Ha Noi FC.
Compared with the previous encounter in June 2025, Malaysia’s squad has undergone notable changes. Seven previously controversial naturalized players are no longer included, while new faces such as Muhammad Feroz Baharudin and Muhammad Syahmi Safari have been added.
However, the team continues to rely on a core group of experienced players. Two notable absentees for this match are striker Bergson da Silva and defender Giancarlo Gallifuoco.
The match between Vietnam and Malaysia is scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. on March 31 at Thien Truong Stadium in Ninh Binh.
With both teams aiming to secure crucial points in the final qualifying round of the Asian Cup 2027, the encounter is expected to be a closely contested and high-intensity clash.
