The main ingredient to make mango roll-ups is ripe sweet mango from Cam Ranh, the largest mango growing location in the central region.
After being peeled and turned into a puree, the mango is put in a cooking pot. The mango flavour must be carefully preserved during the cooking process.
After about two to three hours of cooking, depending on the quantity, the mango is put into moulds and then left to dry in the sun for three to five days. The dried mango will then be cut and packaged.
Mango roll-ups have a delicate sour taste and soft chewy texture with the natural aroma of sweet mango and a sprinkle of sunshine.
This is one of the unique and famous snacks of Nha Trang. The price for this delicacy ranges from 70,000 VND to 100,000 VND a kilogram and can last for up to seven months. Visitors can find mango rolls at many food stores or rest stops in Nha Trang.
