Taiwan has resumed the issuance of e-visa to groups of tourists who are clients of some selected Vietnamese travel firms. The time to enter Taiwan is after November 22 at the earliest.

According to some travel firms, this type of visa is granted to groups of at least five tourists. The tourists don’t have to prove financial capability and jobs, don’t need interviews, and don’t have to pay $50 visa fees.

In 2019, more than 400,000 Vietnamese traveled to Taiwan.

As for Japan, after one month re-issuing visas to Vietnamese, people can now travel Japan with tours, or independently, without having to order services via travel firms.

It is now the ideal time for Vietnamese to travel to Japan and go shopping as the Japanese yen is depreciating against the dollar, experts said.

In September, 30,900 Vietnamese traveled to Japan and the figure was 191,500 for January-September 2022. Vietnam ranked second after South Korea in the number of people entering Japan during this period.

Thailand has applied for a visa waiver for citizens of 63 countries, including Vietnam.

KTO (Korea Tourism Organization) on October 24 affirmed that the policy on visa waiver for Vietnamese travelers landing at Yangyang and Jeju Airports is still valid. The requirements on vaccinations and testing have been abolished.

The visa policy has led to a sharp increase in the number of Vietnamese travelers to the country. KTO reported that over 80,000 Vietnamese arrived in South Korea in January-September 2022.
