Vietnamese midfielder Quang Hai will play for Austrian club LASK
Providing that the player goes ahead and signs the contract, Quang Hai will fly to Austria in May and play for the team for three years.
LASK was first established in 1908 in Linz, Austria. They won the Austria Football Bundesliga in the 1964 to 1965 season, whilst last season they finished third behind Red Bull Salzburg and Rapid Wien.
Born in 1997, Quang Hai was a key player throughout his time at Hanoi FC, with his impressive performances helping Hanoi FC win the V.League 1 three times as well as reaching the final of the AFC Cup.
He has also significantly contributed to the Vietnamese national team’s fortunes in recent years, leading the U23 side to the final of the 2018 AFC U23 Championship, reaching the semifinal of ASIAD 2018, and winning the AFF Cup 2018. This is along with other achievements such as getting to the quarterfinal stage of the 2019 Asian Cup, winning a gold medal at the 2019 SEA Games, and advancing to the final round of World Cup qualifiers.
