Dressing in the Ao dai designed by Ngo Nhat Huy, beauties visited historical sites in the capital city such as the Hoan Kiem Lake, the Ngoc Son Temple and the Temple of Literature.

Miss Grand Venezuela Valentina Martínez Landkœr said: “This is the second time I have had the honor of wearing Vietnam's national costume. The first time was when I visited the Vietnamese consulate in Venezuela. I am very happy to stand here to learn about your country's culture and wear this beautiful outfit."

“I feel very beautiful and feminine in the Ao dai. It is a wonderful feeling when your national costume is both historical and suitable for modern times. I love the ao dai very much!", Miss Grand Singapore Jiahui Jade Wu said.

Miss Grand Australia Mikaela-Rose Fowler said that the ao dai is very comfortable and elegant.

The representative of the Netherlands Melissa Bottema said: “I felt truly moved when we experienced the unique features of Vietnamese culture. I really love the ao dai. I feel great for having this chance to wear this "cultural masterpiece" of Vietnam." 

On October 6 contestants will participate in a programme themed “Hello Vietnam” and introduce themselves to judges and fans.

On the following day they will travel to Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO-recognised world heritage site for a series of sidelines activities.

MGI finalists will take part in a gala dinner, a Q&A segment, and a Best in Swimsuit sub-contest to be subsequently held in Da Nang, Hoi An, and Hue.

According to the pageant organizers, the semi-final night will be held on the evening of October 22 and the final night will take place on the evening of October 25, at Phu Tho Gymnasium in HCM City.
