The helicopter that went missing yesterday in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau was found this morning with the bodies of all three military officers on board.

The military command of Tan Thanh District in southern Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province search for the missing helicopter.

The deceased are Captain Duong Le Minh and two pilot trainees, Lieutenant Dang Dinh Duy and Lieutenant Nguyen Van Tung.

The helicopter was located at Yen Ngua Pass on Bao Quan mountain, which is part of Dinh range in Tan Thanh District, the investigation unit of the province’s Military Command said. The district’s military command and forest ranger forces worked together to bring the bodies down from the mountain.

The crash site has been barricaded and the cause of the accident is being investigated.

The three officers were out on a routine flying exercise and were using helicopter 8632 EC130 T2, which belonged to the Ba Ria-Vung Tau Training Centre of the Vietnam Helicopter Corporation. After 15 minutes of flying, the helicopter lost communication with its control centre. It was later reported to have crashed in the Dinh mountain.
