The north-south transmission line uses new modern technology with a high security level, ensuring the provision of high-quality multi-services.

Chairman of the MobiFone’s member council Le Nam Tra said the establishment of the transmission axis helps the company reduce operation costs and supply customers with services at the most reasonable prices.

The company took this opportunity to announce the outcome of piloting 4G services in Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City in May and June, which brings new experience for customers.

Subscribers could enjoy a wide range of services such as LTE Broadcast (eMBMS), LTE Unicast, 4K TV , Robot Vehicle and online games, in high-speed 4G networks.

On the occasion, MobiFone introduced to the public its MobiTV, which marks its entrance in the pay TV business.

The company strives to have one million subscribers of the new TV services in 2016 and become one of the three biggest businesses in pay-TV services in 2020.

It also aims to become a multi-service enterprise based on four cornerstones: telecommunication & information technology, television, distribution & retail, and multi services.

MobiFone pilots 4G, MobiTV services

The MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation (MobiFone), the second-largest mobile operator in terms of subscribers, has started piloting its 4G and MobiTV services yesterday.

According to the corporation, its subscribers will be offered a wide range of services, such as LTE Broadcast (eMBMS), LTE Unicast, 4K TV, Robot Vehicle and online games, over high-speed 4G networks.

The mobile operator plans to test the service in the three major cities of Ha Noi, Da Nang and HCM City.

MobiFone Chairman Le Nam Tra said the launch of the new services marked the beginning of a new chapter for the company, in which it aims to provide clients with a full package of services.

Before MobiFone, Viettel started offering 4G services in December last year in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau, with an average speed of 40-80Mb/s, though it could reach 230Mb/s in certain areas. Meanwhile, Vinaphone piloted the technology on Phu Quoc Island and in HCM City in January this year.
