The examinations are jointly held by the Vietnam’s Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) and the Human Resources Development Service of RoK (HRD).
Passing the language test, conducted by the HRD, is a requirement for Vietnamese workers aged 18-39, who want to work in the RoK under the EPS programme.
The Korean language examinations 2018, which will run until June 24, will serve to select 6,300 qualified workers to work in the manufacturing sector in the RoK.
Meanwhile, the Korean language examinations 2018 for workers in the fishery sectorwill take place on August 20-24, in order to select 1,600 workers in this industry.
This year, the MOLISA rejected selecting candidates from 49 districts in 12 centrally-run provinces and cities, which reported that over 30% of the workers refused to return home after the expiration of their labour contracts in the RoK.
