The Ho Chi Minh City Civil Judgment Enforcement Department said on May 21 that this was the largest payment round since the first disbursement, accounting for 5.8076% of the total amount owed to each eligible recipient.

The funds became available after authorities continued handling seized assets and recovered a total of VND1.747 trillion ($68.6 million).

Since June 2025, the enforcement agency has carried out nine consecutive payment rounds for bondholders linked to the case.

In the first round alone, authorities distributed VND7.464 trillion ($293 million), equivalent to 24.8125% of the enforceable amount.

Subsequent rounds from the second to the eighth ranged from VND205 billion ($8 million) to VND738 billion ($29 million).

On March 24, 2026, authorities also made supplemental payments to individuals who had transferred enforcement rights or had only recently completed the required documentation.

The agency said 534 bondholders have yet to provide bank account details.

To safeguard their interests, the corresponding funds have been placed into savings accounts in accordance with regulations.

Under the first-instance verdict issued on Oct. 17, 2024, and the appellate ruling on April 21, 2025, businesswoman Truong My Lan was ordered to compensate more than VND30.081 trillion ($1.18 billion) to 43,108 victims and related parties who purchased bond packages identified as QT-2018.12.1, SET.H2025, ADC-2018.09, ADC-2019.01, ADC-2018.09.01 and SNW-2018.10.

Authorities are continuing to verify, survey and appraise assets identified by the court as belonging to Truong My Lan and to individuals and organizations responsible for fulfilling financial obligations related to her case.

The enforcement department has also requested Saigon Commercial Bank (SCB) to transfer frozen funds in accordance with court rulings from both phases of the case.

Authorities said additional compensation rounds will continue once more assets are processed and funds are transferred.
