On the morning of August 18th, the Mounted Police Unit of the Mobile Police Command paraded and performed demonstrations on Le Loi Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
During the event, the officers and horses showcased various complex techniques and maneuvers with high precision and mastery, including impressive jumps over obstacles.
The demonstrations continued with several special techniques in front of hundreds of spectators, such as one-handed shooting while riding, target capture, and high-speed pursuits.
In another scenario, the horses were commanded to sit and lie down on command, showcasing their discipline and training.
The riders also performed balancing acts while the horses galloped, further demonstrating their skills.
One of the highlights was the demonstration of the horses rearing on their hind legs, a maneuver used to display strength and control, especially useful in dispersing unruly crowds during protests.
The officers and horses also demonstrated camouflaging techniques, lying low to evade detection during combat or while pursuing criminals.
In addition to the equestrian displays, the Special Task Force Battalion No. 2 of the Mobile Police Command performed martial arts and qigong demonstrations, including dangerous stunts such as lying on a bed of nails, breaking bricks with bare hands, and bending steel bars around their necks.
Around 30 officers participated in this performance, which is part of a series of events commemorating the 79th anniversary of the traditional day of the People's Public Security Forces (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2024).
Hundreds of spectators cheered as they watched the mounted police demonstrations.
