Earlier, around 3 PM the same day, residents living on Eu Co Street near the Le Dai Hanh roundabout heard a loud noise. Upon checking, they discovered that the road surface had collapsed, creating a deep hole. Residents notified the authorities and placed warning signs to alert others.

According to reports, the hole has a diameter of over 1 meter and is nearly 2 meters deep, with an undercut widening to both sides. Strong water flow is present at the bottom of the hole. Surrounding the hole, the asphalt surface has sagged and cracks have spread.

Local authorities and relevant units quickly arrived to secure the area, assign personnel to monitor, and manage traffic.

According to officials, the initial cause of the deep hole is believed to be a long-standing underground water pipe that has burst and leaked, washing away the surrounding soil and leading to the road's subsidence.

After receiving the information, the People's Committee of Tan Nhon Phu B Ward dispatched a team to quickly cordon off the area affected by the subsidence to ensure the safety of residents.
