NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan (C) speaks at the event
The Criminal Code 100/2015/QH13, adopted on November 27, 2015 during the 13th National Assembly’s 10th session, was effective from July 1, 2016.
However, during the implementation of the law, a number of mistakes have been detected. The NA Standing committee has directed the NA Law Committee to work with the Ministries of Justice and Public Security as well as the Supreme People’s Court and the Supreme People’s Procuracy to review the law and propose solutions to solve the mistakes.
Members of the committee will concentrate on revising slack regulations that could lead to the missing out of criminals, and incoherent application, inconsistence in criminal policies, or difficulties in classification of criminals.
According to NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, the fourth session of the 14th National Assembly’s Standing Committee will take place in two stages, one from October 3-10 and the remaining from October 17-18.
On October 18’s afternoon and November 19, members of the committee will discuss preparations for the second session of the National Assembly, which is slated for November 20, she added.
