He also praised her unwavering loyalty to the Party, the country, and the people throughout her various roles. Regardless of circumstances, Nguyen Thi Binh consistently upheld revolutionary ethics and excelled in every responsibility entrusted to her by the Party, State, and the public.
Vice Chairman Nguyen Duc Hai presented Nguyen Thi Binh with the "For the Cause of the National Assembly" medal, along with a commemorative gift from National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.
On August 25, during the 80th anniversary of the diplomatic sector, General Secretary To Lam awarded Nguyen Thi Binh the title of Labor Hero.
Former Vice President Nguyen Thi Binh, born Nguyen Thi Chau Sa on May 26, 1927, played a key role during the years 1969–1976 as the chief negotiator for the Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Republic of South Vietnam at the Paris Peace Conference, which sought to end the Vietnam War and restore peace.
She served as Minister of Foreign Affairs, overseeing all external affairs, diplomatic dialogue, public outreach, and international advocacy. She directly led people-to-people diplomacy, public relations, and the development of international networks with more than 40 progressive countries and global organizations.
As both Foreign Minister and chief negotiator, Nguyen Thi Binh passionately lobbied politicians, intellectuals, and media outlets in France and other Western countries to support the South Vietnamese resistance. Her efforts helped raise international awareness of Vietnam’s struggle.
Throughout her career, she has been honored with numerous prestigious medals and awards for her service.
