Deputies of the 14th National Assembly will start three-day question-and-answer session on October 30 during their ongoing sixth session.

A session of the NA sixth session


Cabinet members, the Chief Judge of the Supreme People’s Court and head of the Supreme People’s Procuracy will be questioned on the implementation of the NA resolutions on thematic supervision and their performance from the beginning of the NA’s 14th tenure.

In the morning, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan will deliver a speech opening the session. The deputies will listen to a report by Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh summarising the realisation of NA resolutions and supervision work, along with reports on NA committees’ performance so far.

Chief Judge of the Supreme People’s Court Nguyen Hoa Binh and head of the Supreme People’s Procuracy Le Minh Tri will also deliver their reports.

At the end of the question-and-answer session, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc will clarify a number of issues of the Government’s responsibilities and answer questions by NA deputies.

The session will focus on the performance of the Government so far, analysing reasons behind shortcomings and seek solutions.

Legislature to question about issues closely related to people

The 14th National Assembly (NA) will question cabinet members, the Chief Judge of the Supreme People's Court, the Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuracy, and the Auditor General of the State Audit Office of Vietnam.

The question and answer sessions will last from October 30 to November 1 as part of the 14th NA’s sixth session. 

This is one of the most important activities of the session, attracting the attention of a large number of voters and people across the country as matters questioned will be closely related to the people. 

The legislature will spend three days on listening to reports of the abover-mention agencies, and other questioned people on the implementation of the NA’s resolution on special supervision and Q&A activity from the beginning of the NA tenure to its 4th session.

After listening to these reports, NA deputies will question cabinet members, the Chief Judge of the Supreme People's Court and the Prosecutor General of the Supreme People’s Procuracy on relevant issues. 

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc will clarify some issues related to the responsibilities of the Government, and directly answer questions raised by NA deputies. 

In order to strengthen the dialogue and debate in parliamentary activities, this session has continued to maintain improvements and renewal of question and answer activities which was implemented effectively at the previous session.
