VietNamNet Bridge – Aiming to spread knowledge and evoke passion among young people about space technology, the Vietnam Satellite Center is building the National Space Museum.

This is an important component of the center for universalizing knowledge about the space, with a total area of 1,675 m2 indoor and 3500 m2 outdoor space. The work has a total investment of over VND44 billion ($2 million), located in the Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park in Hanoi.

According to Dr. Pham Anh Tuan, director of the National Satellite Center, the design of the museum is scheduled to be completed later this year and is expected to open in late 2017 as the first sci-tech museum in Vietnam.

The National Satellite Centre’s representative also said that the museum will not only exhibit artifacts, but also offer many types of interactions to letviewers discover themselves.

The museum is being designed and built by a Japanese company.

Visiting the museum, viewers will have more knowledge about Vietnam's view of the universe, the history of space technology development of the world. They can also explore the early history of the universe and get useful information about the solar system, the galaxy and the vast black holes.
