Hoang Quy Phuoc, a gold medallist in the 100m freestyle at Stockholm Swimming Open 2017 earlier this year, narrowly missed the individual men’s final yesterday, July 24, in Budapest, Hungary.
On day 2 of the FINA World Swimming Championships 2017 finals, Quy Phuoc posted a time of 1:49.87, far off the mark of his best time 1:48:85 that he achieved at Stockholm, and not quite good enough to make the cut.
Meanwhile, Le Nguyen Paul only managed a 34th place finish out of 46 at the men’s 100m backstroke while 20-year old Nguyen Thi Nhat Lam stood 41st out of 53 at the women’s 100m breaststroke.
