The event attracted the participation of nearly 160 shooters from 13 teams across the country, competing in 26 individual and team categories.
According to Nguyen Thi Nhung, deputy chairwoman and general secretary of Viet Nam Shooting Federation, the event included two new categories: mixed air rifle and mixed air pistol for men and women.
This will help Vietnamese shooters familiarise themselves with new events so that they are more confident to compete in upcoming tournaments such as Asian Games 2018 and Olympics 2020. Nhung said the event’s best players would be selected for the national senior teams.
It will wrap up on July 25. — VNS
