With a history spanning over 700 years, Lac Village in Mai Chau District, Hoa Binh Province, is nestled amidst lush mountains and verdant fields.
Located about 140km from Hanoi, Lac Village is predominantly inhabited by the Thai ethnic group, primarily from the Ha, Vi, Mac, Loc, and Lo families.
The village features rows of traditional stilt houses, narrow paths winding through the enchanting golden light of late afternoons, expansive fields, rustling bamboo groves, and papaya trees laden with fruit. This creates an exceptionally tranquil rural atmosphere in the heart of the Northwest highlands.
Statistics show that out of 125 households in Lac Village, 73 have registered to offer homestay services. Recently, the influx of domestic tourists has brought vibrancy to the village and increased income for the locals.
