According to the schedule, the V.League 1 season will return on August 23 before concluding on June 21, 2025. Local footballers will then have two months to prepare for the 2024/2025 season once the 2023/2024 season concludes up in June.
Furthermore, the V.League 2 will kick off on September 13 and finish on May 25, 2025. At the end of the season, a play-off match will be held between the second-place team of the V.League 2 and the bottom team in the V.League 1, with the loser then playing in the V.League 2 next season.
The National Cup will also launch its qualifying round on November 1, with the tournament scheduled to end on June 26, 2025.
The Vietnamese national men’s football team will compete in the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Cup 2024 between November and December.
The senior team will also have five gatherings from late 2024 to early 2025 during FIFA Days.
The latest season marks a significant milestone for Vietnamese football as it adopts a new format, aligning its schedule with renowned leagues like the English Premier League. The season will therefore span from autumn to summer, offering an extended timeframe for the competition.
