DJ Management that represents the Korean coach in Vietnam revealed that Park would provide necessary technical know-how for Bac Ninh FC to develop into a professional football team.
The Bac Ninh FC fanpage confirmed the news and said the Korean manager is tasked with outlining future orientations, supporting youth training and operating the club according to international standards.
Park said after ending his contract with the Vietnam Football Federation in January 2023, he expected to do something for Vietnamese football in response to the love he has received in Vietnam.
Last year, Park launched an international football academy named after him aiming to develop youth football in Vietnam. The Bac Ninh FC contract is his second project in the country.
Bac Ninh FC, a newly established team, are preparing to take part in the second division of the Vietnam football tournament (V-League II) in 2024. They aim to be promoted to the first division (V-League I) in future.
