Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Wednesday proposed new Transport Minister Nguyen Van The and new Chief Government Inspector Le Minh Khai to the National Assembly.

The is the Party Committee Secretary of Soc Trang Province, while Khai is the Party Secretary of Bac Lieu Province.  

Once approved by the National Assembly, The and Khai will officially take their post from today afternoon, October 26.

The, 51, had a PhD in transport in Russia and worked for several transport companies in the southern province of Dong Thap before holding the position of the provincial vice chairman.

He acted as deputy minister of transport during June 2013 and October 2015 before serving as party chief of the southern province of Soc Trang.

The will replace former Transport Minister Truong Quang Nghia, who has appointed as party head of Danang. 

Khai, 53, who has accounting and auditing degrees, will fill the seat of former Chief Inspector Phan Van Sau who has been selected for being Party Chief of Soc Trang Province.
